Joy is an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting the well-being of children, teens, and women. She has a Bachelor’s of Education from Baylor University and a Master’s of Education in Counseling from Tarleton State University. She encourages each client to achieve well-being and success in their lives.
Joy genuinely understands that life’s challenges can sometimes seem unbearable or particularly unique. Her goal in working with you or your child is to act as a catalyst to encourage a realization of talents, abilities, and strengths that will help in coping with these life challenges. Joy works closely with children, teens, and women who are struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, adjusting to new situations or major changes, or just need someone to really listen. She utilizes approaches to therapy incorporating eclectic and evidence-based practices that best fit each client’s needs. Joy provides a supportive, non-judgmental space for you or your loved one to explore, resolve issues, and gain tools to attain therapeutic goals.
When not working with clients, Joy can be found spending time with her husband and four children, hosting game nights with friends, traveling, and organizing.
