Stephanie Frost, MS, LPC-A. A counselor near me

Stephanie Frost

Stephanie Frost is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). She earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University and is passionate about helping people overcome challenges, build resilience, and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Her path to counseling was shaped by a lifelong commitment to service and connection. Before becoming a counselor, Stephanie worked for more than 20 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist, helping patients of all ages manage anxiety and achieve their health goals. That experience strengthened her ability to build trust, teach coping strategies, and support individuals through vulnerable moments. Stephanie has also been actively involved in her community through volunteer work, church service, and service on a local nonprofit board, reflecting her dedication to compassion, encouragement, and service.

She works with children ages 10 and older, adolescents, and adults. Clients seek counseling for a range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. She uses an integrative approach that draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed techniques, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can gain insight and develop practical tools for change.

Stephanie believes therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, authenticity, and compassion, with the goal of helping clients better understand themselves and navigate life with greater confidence and clarity.

On a personal note, Stephanie has been married to her husband, Ron, since 1997, and together they have two adult daughters. After an initial period of adjustment that comes with a major life transition, they have embraced the empty-nester stage of life. Her family enjoys serving at church, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Stephanie is under the supervision of Bryan Jason Brown, LPC-S.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, but clients do not have to face it alone. Stephanie is committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and balance.
