Becky Southard

Becky is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and retired Certified School Counselor. She received her master’s degree in social work from UTA and completed her counseling coursework at Dallas Baptist University. Becky has been an LPC since 2007 and has worked in public education for 25 years.

Known for her open-minded and down-to-earth approach, Becky creates a welcoming and non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported. She works with teens and adults who are struggling with a variety of challenges, including relationship issues, academic stress, and personal difficulties. Becky specializes in providing compassionate and effective support through life’s transitions, using a client-centered and empathetic approach to address the difficulties each life season can bring.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavior, solution-focused and person-centered therapy, emphasizing the importance of understanding each client’s unique experiences and perspectives. Becky believes in the power of collaboration and the transformative potential of the therapeutic relationship.

Outside of her professional life, Becky enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren. She loves boating on Lake Texoma with her family and spending time with her two dogs! Additionally, Becky and her husband are avid TCU football fans! You can find them in the stands at every home game!
